A 48-year-old man faces misdemeanor charges for locking himself in his room at his Scottsdale apartment and refusing orders from officers, police say.

A barricade situation in Scottsdale ended with a man surrendering to officers on Tuesday afternoon, the police department said.

Scottsdale police said they attempted to deliver the orders around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. A barricade situation ensued.
