A Los Angeles-based tech entrepreneur claims he almost missed his flight after a mishap in a self-driving taxi. Mike Johns was headed to Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, and he decided to take a Waymo self-driving rideshare car — the autonomous vehicles run by Google parent company Alphabet.

Waymo is doing damage control after one of its self-driving taxis made yet another questionable choice on the road. A man from Los Angeles was attempting to fly home when the Waymo he'd ordered drove in circles around an airport parking lot,

The Los Angeles resident was trying to get back to California from Scottsdale, Arizona, last week and took a Waymo driverless taxi to the airport. However, he barely made it because the self-driving car wouldn't stop driving in circles.
