The Department of Homeland Security is notifying hundreds of thousands of Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans that their temporary permission to live and work in the United States has been revoked and they should leave the country.

The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday told hundreds of thousands of migrants that their permission to live in the United States had been revoked and they should leave.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson authored a dissent, joined by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, decrying the "devastating consequences of allowing the Government to precipitously upend the lives and livelihoods of nearly half a million noncitizens while their legal claims are pending."
