Invasive coconut rhinoceros beetles were recently detected in two plant shipments from O‘ahu to Lāna‘i, leading to swift action from agriculture officials and increased prevention efforts.

Agriculture officials said three of the invasive beetles have been found in plants that were shipped from Oahu.
