Sir Rod Stewart has left concert organisers "stunned" with his huge appearance fee and luxurious demands. The 80-year-old rocker is building up to headlining the Glastonbury Legends stage this summer.

Trailblazer Rose Reilly has told of her delight at receiving an unexpected message from the 80-year-old music legend wishing her a happy birthday from his mansion in Florida.

“Rachel broke up with me on a Monday evening, and it was heartbreaking. No one leaves Rod!” Stewart told the outlet. “But that Saturday night, I met Penny at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The bass player in my band, Carmine, said, ‘Listen, you’ve just come out of a long nine-year marriage. You’re not ready yet.’ I nearly strangled him!”

The 'Friends' actor had an interaction with the pop icon when he was a teenager, but it had nothing to do with show business.

David Schwimmer just revealed that he once served Sir Rod Stewart with divorce papers as he opened up about his pre-fame jobs. As you’re probably aware, 58-year-old David is now a hugely successful actor, with the star getting his big break when he was cast as Ross Geller in the hit sitcom Friends back in 1994.

It is not known why they split or for how long, with neither Penny nor Rod discussing it at length. Rod met Loose Women star Penny in January 1999 when the then-27-year-old photography student asked for his autograph at the Dorchester Hotel.
