Caitlin Clark was downgraded from questionable to out for the Indiana Fever's matchup with the reigning champion New York Liberty on Wednesday, the team announced. Clark tweaked her right groin during the Fever's win over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday and was in tears on the bench after checking out.

That was the last game Clark played before she missed nearly a month with a quad ailment. She returned, ironically enough, against the Liberty on June 14, and put up her best performance of the season, scoring 32 points in a 102-88 triumph, one that ended New York's perfect start to the season at nine games.

After suffering a groin injury in Tuesday night's win over the Sun, the Indiana Fever have updated Caitlin Clark's status vs. the New York Liberty.
