DETROIT — With the NBA on high alert following the recent indictments surrounding sports gambling, Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff is telling his players to be conscious of what they’re sharing and who they’re sharing it with outside the organization.

Former Detroit Pistons legend Chauncey Billups was arrested in Portland, Oregon, on charges connected to an illegal poker ring, federal officals announced Thursday, Oct. 23.
Billups was one of the most popular players among fellow NBA'ers when he played. His convivial and disarming presence made him a mayor of sorts, and when the NBA started the Twyman–Stokes Teammate of the Year award in 2013, Billups was the first winner.
However shocking, Chauncey Billups' role in the alleged gambling scandal is not the first legal trouble he has found himself in.
