Dustin May was on the verge of being ‘pushed out’ of the Dodgers starting rotation when they traded him to the Red Sox.

The Red Sox acquired starter Dustin May from the Dodgers on Thursday, filling their need for pitching help. Los Angeles received outfield prospect James Tibbs III in return.
