By Jonathan Stempel NEW YORK (Reuters) -A federal judge on Friday dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump's nearly $50 million lawsuit against the journalist Bob Woodward for publishing tapes from interviews for his 2020 best-seller "Rage" as an audiobook.

The judge in the case said Trump failed to “plausibly” show that he and Woodward intended to be co-authors of an audiobook, or that Trump had any copyright interest in his responses.

The president’s lawsuit against the veteran journalist and his publisher was dismissed the same day Trump filed an unrelated suit against the Wall Street Journal.
