On Wednesday at 8:40 p.m. a flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Beaver and Butler counties.

On Wednesday at 6:58 p.m. the National Weather Service released a flash flood warning in effect until 9 p.m. for Essex and Middlesex counties.

Forecasters say some of the strong storm cells could generate rainfall rates of 1.5 to 2.5 inches per hour, which could result in rapid flooding on roads and near creeks or streams.
