A veteran pitcher for 11 major league seasons who helped the "Miracle Mets" win the 1969 World Series has passed away.

Ron Taylor passed away Monday after a long illness. He won the World Series four times, once pitching for the 1964 St. Louis Cardinals and later for the 1969 NY Mets. then as team physician for the 1992 and 1993 Toronto Blue Jays.

Former MLB pitcher Ron Taylor, who won World Series titles with the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets before later becoming the Toronto Blue Jays' physician, has died. He was 87.
