Going-out-of-business sales are ongoing at Party City's retail stores across the Garden State as the company winds down operations.

Party City will auction leases for three Capital Region stores after filing for bankruptcy and announcing closures.

Fox owns the PartyWorks store on Caldwell Avenue in Visalia, as well as one in Clovis and two in Fresno, at River Park and on West Shaw. He considers the Party Works bankruptcy as “only to the better because we'll have less competition in our area.”

Party City Holdco Inc. announced on Dec. 21 that it will shut down operations and close its roughly 700 stores nationwide after nearly 40 years in business.

Party City is auctioning 21 store leases in North Carolina, including several in the greater Charlotte area, amid the retailer’s plans to close all of its nearly 700 locations after 40 years in business.

Calling each site a “sought-after retail location,” A&G noted in a press release that the bid deadline and auction would likely be in early February. “This is a large and di
