A man suspected of bombing a courthouse in Santa Barbara County, wounding five people, has been accused of trying to kill a judge and deputy as prosecutors allege he was plotting multiple deaths that day.

The man who bombed the Santa Maria Courthouse last month faces additional charges related to arson. Nathaniel McGuire, 20, has already been charged with attempted murder, use of an explosive device with the intent to murder and carrying a loaded firearm.

During his arrest, the suspect also allegedly claimed that the government had taken his guns and yelled for people to “fight, rise up and rebel.”
