✨ “Every plant gives its gifts differently.” ✨ Wondering how long to steep your herbs—or how much to even use? Aromatic herbs like mint don’t need much time. Chamomile shifts from gentle to medicinal depending on how long it steeps. Nettle? That one asks for hours. It’s not about rigid rules. It’s about intention—and knowing how to work with the plant in front of you. 👉 Type TEA26 in the comments to join the free tea-making class happening this Saturday 🌱 @emily.y.han #herbaltea #herbalism #he

🌿 Steeping herbs isn’t one size fits all it’s all about what you want to get from the plant. 10–15 minutes: Quick steep for a light, gentle release perfect if you want a mild effect or just a subtle taste. 2–3 hours: Medium steep for stronger benefits you’ll get more of the plant’s active compounds working for you. 6–12 hours: Long steep for the full power of the herb maximum extraction of nutrients, compounds, and healing properties. ⏳ Each time unlocks something different. "How long should I steep my tea?" We get this question a lot, and honestly, there is no one answer to it! Remember, besTEA, Different teas respond to different steep times; some teas become bitter when steeped too long, while others become more flavorful. Although it all boils down (no pun intended) to the person's preference, here's a lowdown on teas and their proposed steeping times. ⏳✨ 💚 Black Tea - for a full-bodied cup, steep your black tea for 3-5 minutes to increase its caffeine content.

There’s something so deeply grounding about steeping fresh herbs into a warm cup of tea. If it isn’t obvious by now, catnip and lemon balm are two of my absolute favorites. These gentle nervines calm the body, nourish the nervous system, and invite everything in you to soften. Lemon balm uplifts the spirit. Catnip soothes tension. Together, they help reset your whole system—mind, body, and breath. | Allie's Holistic Journey

I finally got around to processing all the herbs and flowers I gathered. I'm steeping them in olive oil for a few weeks and then will make a salve with beeswax. There's lots of stuff in here: yarrow, goldenrod, marigold, sage, bergamot, cedar, moss, orange mint, and plantain. This will be a general sort of cure all for inflammation and skin issues! I foraged most of these but grew the yarrow, sage, mint, and marigold. #foraging #plants #potion #gathering #witchcraft
