Ahhh, tulip season. It's fast-paced, tiring, and subject to all the whims of weather. I harvested tulips during rain, shine, in the dark and a midday total eclipse over the last 14 days. TULIP TIPS! 🌷 Tulips have to be one of my favorite flowers! I have found that they really don’t last very long though and it’s only a day or two before then begin to droop which sometimes is unavoidable if the flower is older when you get it but a trick that has worked for me is as soon as I get fresh tulips I poke a hole with a pin at the top of the stem. I did a ton of research on different methods and the pinhole allows the water from the vase to reach the top of the flower easier which help

From traditional types to fringed to parrots to peony doubles colored in pinks, purples, reds, yellows, orange and near every shade in between. Minus black and blue. There are a number of tulips that look almost black when the light is right, but blue is an elusive color in nature and especially so with tulips.
