Wildlife biologist John Jensen found this gopher frog egg mass at Fall Line Sandhills WMA in early March. The area is the primary source of gopher frog eggs used to produce metamorphs for a project to restore the rare frogs at The Nature Conservancy's Williams Bluffs Preserve. Jensen found only two egg masses this year, both at Fall Line Sandhillls WMA. Still, it beats last winter when no gopher frog eggs were found.
