Hundreds of residents gathered in downtown Truckee, CA, on Sunday for a vigil in memory of the victims of the Castle Peak avalanche. The avalanche struck last Tuesday during a guided backcountry ski trip, killing nine people. Five participants of the excursion and one guide survived what is now the deadliest avalanche in California history.
