National Beauty - The Scarlet Ibis! The Scarlet Ibis, one of the National Birds of Trinidad and Tobago, is known for its bright scarlet red feathers. This outstanding bird is not only a locally Protected Species, but is also an Environmentally Sensitive Species (ESS). This means, the Scarlet Ibis, according to our local wildlife laws, has added protection. Any person found hunting, capturing or in possesion of any parts of this bird will face increased fines and penalities. Here are some interes
