The Quest For England: A Walk Around Broadwater, near Worthing. This morning's permitted walk is a stroll around the village of Broadwater, its church, St Mary's and the large village green. As usual, I have left early to avoid the crowds although there are many in their cars heading off to work. I am no historian and do not pretend to be. I am fascinated by the church and its churchyard. There was an earlier church on this site in the Saxon times, and I guess that was when the sea swept closer
