65 years ago TODAY, we went to Bedrock for the first time when “The Flintstones” premiered on ABC in 1960! Inspired by “The Honeymooners,” “The Flintstones” followed the prehistoric Fred and his wife Wilma (and later their daughter Pebbles). Fred’s “Yabba Dabba Doo!” catchphrase is still widely recognized nearly 70 years later! It was the first animated show to get a prime-time slot, ran for six seasons, and is considered one of the greatest cartoons ever (if not the best). The intro in the clip
