The superficial volar compartment of the forearm includes four muscles: pronator teres, flexor carpi radialis, palmaris longus, and flexor carpi ulnaris. These muscles share a common flexor origin at the medial epicondyle, but they may also contribute to pain at their wrist insertions, such as with FCR or FCU tendinopathy.
