KERDI-BOARD to drywall waterproofing tips…my drywall was slightly proud. So I removed the edge with a utility knife and filled the transition with thin-set mortar (ALL-SET). The next day, I apply more thin-set, used the KERDI trowel, and waterproofed the transition with 7 inch KERDI-BAND. Schluter KERDI-BOARD tip…I use the shower valve plug to put a hole in the board. Then I center the mixing valve seal and trace a circle. I cut that circle 1/8” wider and that helps the valve seal fit tight.
