North Cascades is one of my favorite National Parks and this is the one hike I think you can’t miss! #northcascades #northcascadesnationalpark #washingtonstate #visitwashington #washingtonexplored"

He wouldn’t stop watching us… Sahale Glacier Camp in Washington’s North Cascades is famous for its incredible views of jagged mountains and alpine lakes… and the camp sites are no exception! 🏔️ ⛺️ But be prepared for an audience! 🐐 Mountain goats love hanging around the campgrounds because they’re attracted to the salt in your pee 🫣 The goats we encountered were not aggressive - they just liked to stare 🤣 but they CAN be aggressive, so remember to keep your distance. How would you feel about

I just finished backpacking in the Northern Cascades and summited the breathtaking Sahale Glacier- soo much beauty it took my breath away! Shout out to our badass guide, Lindsey and the awesome solo travelers that braved it with me. Don’t wait for your partner or friend to adventure travel- go with a group of like minded nature lovers with Wildland Trekking or their partner, Intrepid Travel (links in bio) and unplug from it all, challenge your fears and remind yourself that there is a big wide w

On day 7 of 7 we were headed for the Glacier Camp at Sahale Arm. But, do you see all this haze? Of course the wildfire smoke came in right as we were approaching camp. A change of plans is blowing in with the smoke…we just didn’t know it yet. #northcascades #nature #mountains #glaciers #backpackinglife

Replying to @Father You mean something like this? 😂🔥 I love when people challenge us to put these to the test. Soaking wet? Check. Windy conditions? Check. Starting a fire when everything around you is damp? Let’s do it. We make these for real people who camp, hunt, enjoy backyard fires, and want something they can pack and have ready when they need it. Don’t just take my word for it. Watch what happens. 🔥 What should we put it through next? #firestarter #camping #survival #bushcraft #outdoor

At the start of the school year, West’s class went on a camping trip, but he had shoulder surgery recently and couldn’t go, so he and I did a father-son trip to Alaska. I don’t post photos of him online anymore, so I took a few selfies along the way—but my camera is full of photos of me and my almost 16-year old boy from this trip. Childhood is so heartbreakingly fleeting, but it is so heart-filling to see these little ones grow up into good humans. (Thanks for the sweet trip, West… And thanks f
