Almost every homemade ricotta recipe misses one important step—and it can get you a LOT more cheese. 🇮🇹 The basic recipe couldn't be easier: HOMEMADE RICOTTA ½ gallon (8 cups / 1.9 L) whole milk 1–1½ tsp salt ¼ cup (60 mL) white vinegar Slowly heat the milk to about 190°F—steaming, but not boiling. Turn off the heat, add the salt and vinegar and stir gently once or twice. Cover and leave it alone for 15–20 minutes. Scoop the curds into a ricotta basket or fine-mesh strainer and let them drain.

Nobody makes homemade ricotta like my love❤️ Not only is it creamily delicious but so easy you will never buy the store stuff again❤️ we use this on everything but one of our favorite ways is spreading it on a nice French baguette and topping it with honey & truffle salt! Adding this to your lasagna, pasta and even ricotta based desserts like cannoli cream and ricotta cheesecake which we also have a recipe up for! Storing it is so easy all you have to do is keep it in th
