A homeless camp next to a business catches fire and burns the entire side of the building. This is why we must not allow camps like this to be on our sidewalks. We could solve this by having immediate sanctioned camping where the homeless can go and receive 24-7 wraparound type and help them recover and overcome any barriers that led them to the streets or kept them on the streets. At least half of the entire homeless population if offered a shelter would say no. For some they had a bad experience and will never go back, for other others that just consider the streets a lifestyle and are not interested.
